alerts for work orders / job updates

I need to follow a work order to make sure our processes are being done correctly. It would be nice if i could set an alert on a work order and it email me anytime a status on that work order changes. I could see this as being useful if a builder calls me and asks me to get something on schedule as well. I would send that to the customer service team, then set up an alert, and be in the know if the builder contacts me with a status update. Right now i just have to keep going back to the work order to see the status. Could be done at the job level as well. If we have a VIP Job (we commonly do) we could get alerts and stay on top of things for that job.
